Behavior of Centrifuged GFRP Poles Under Lateral Deflection

چکیده
Centrifugal-manufactured GFRP pipes are widely used today as lighting and low-power transmission poles due to their lightweight, high electrical insulation, low cost, corrosion resistance. Despite these advantages, suffer deflection problems elastic shear moduli values. In order overcome this disadvantage, three techniques were suggested control the lateral of poles: an extended internal steel stub, external angles, bracing bars. The main objective study is determine optimum strengthening technique improve serviceability in terms according ASTM D4923. An experimental research program containing five full-scale was carried out effect connectors opening near base compare it previous research. results indicated that flexural stiffness increased by 44%, 66%, 38% for bars, respectively. Besides that, reduction connector about 8%. measured deflections showed good matching with simplified mathematical calculations, division ±10%. angle best efficiency Stiffness behavior. Analysis of the Elastic Large Deflection Behavior for Metal Plates under Nonuniformly Distributed Lateral Pressure with In-Plane Loads
The Galerkin method is applied to analyze the elastic large deflection behavior of metal plates subject to a combination of in-plane loads such as biaxial loads, edge shear and biaxial inplane bending moments, and uniformly or nonuniformly distributed lateral pressure loads. The motive of the present study was initiated by the fact that metal plates of ships and ship-shaped offshore structures ...
متن کاملFlexural Behavior of GFRP Tubes Filled with Magnetically Driven Concrete
Experimental investigation of GFRP (glass fiber reinforced polymer) tubes that were filled with magnetically driven concrete was carried out to study the flexural behavior of specimens under bending. Specimens having different cross section and lengths were tested. The test specimens were fabricated by filling magnetically driven concrete into the GFRP tubes and the concrete was vibrated using ...
